Tipper Truck Driver

Support our internal Construction team by operating Council trucks, primarily tipper trucks, to transport materials within the City of Moreton Bay area for the Construction crews.

In this role, you will:

• ensure safe and timely delivery of materials
• operate tipper trucks and any other equipment according to licence and training requirements
• conduct daily vehicle checks and perform basic maintenance on trucks and other equipment where applicable
• carry out general labouring tasks when not driving the truck

Your duties will involve safely transporting and unloading materials at designated locations, adhering to safety regulations and maintaining efficient operations. You'll be performing pre-operation inspections, follow proper loading and unloading procedures and collaborating with the crews to maximise efficiency. 

Additionally you'll be responsible for keeping your vehicle clean and well maintained, reporting any defects promptly, and complying with all relevant Council processes and safety procedures.

About you

Ideally you will have demonstrated experience operating tipper trucks, along with recent truck driving experience in a similar role. In this position you will rely on your recent experience undertaking manual tasks as well as your strong teamwork skills and ability to work collaboratively. A safe driving history and adaptability to learn and use new software relevant to the role are also essential.  

Safety is a key priority for us as an organisation, and we will be seeking candidates who not only have the knowledge and physical ability to safely undertake the manual tasks required in this role, we want you to have a genuine desire to contribute to a positive safety culture.

We'll also need you to hold your current truck licence (minimum HR - heavy rigid) and your Construction Induction card.
