Croydon Shire Council is seeking a motivated and community-focused Casual Swimming Pool Attendant to manage the day-to-day operation of the Croydon Swimming Pool. This is an opportunity to contribute to the health, wellbeing and recreation of our community while helping provide a safe, welcoming and enjoyable environment for pool users.

The Position

As Swimming Pool Attendant, you will support the daily operation of the Croydon Swimming Pool, including:

• Supervising patrons and maintaining a safe pool environment
• Cleaning and maintaining the pool and surrounding facilities
• Completing administration, record keeping and reporting
• Providing excellent customer service and promoting community participation
• Ensuring workplace health and safety requirements are met.

Skills & Experience Required

The successful applicant will have:

• Current or ability to obtain and maintain First Aid and CPR certification
• Current or ability to obtain a Working with Children Blue Card
• Pool Lifeguard Certificate
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Sound literacy and numeracy skills
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision
• A strong commitment to safety, accurate record keeping and high service standards

Pool Plant Operations and Maintenance qualifications will be highly regarded.
