We're looking for a leader who can plan the work, lead the team and jump in when needed to get the job done.

Let’s start with the important stuff. This role includes:

Salary from $1,526 per Week (plus super) based on a 38-hour week.

• Flexible working provisions and a 9-day fortnight

• Generous leave entitlements.

• Gym discounts

This is a hands-on leadership role where you will supervise and coordinate the construction and maintenance of Council's water and wastewater infrastructure projects. While you will be responsible for planning works, leading crews, managing contractors and ensuring projects are completed safely and efficiently, you won't be sitting on the sidelines. When required, you'll jump in alongside your team and assist with construction and maintenance activities to help get the job done. You'll lead by example, champion a strong safety culture and ensure work is delivered to Council's standards.

About You

You are an experienced water and wastewater professional who enjoys leading from the front. You are just as comfortable planning and coordinating works as you are stepping onto site and working alongside your crew when needed. You understand that being a great supervisor means supporting your team, solving problems, pitching in during busy periods, and setting the standard for safety, quality and productivity.

You have strong practical knowledge of water and wastewater construction and maintenance, along with the ability to organise people, resources and workloads to keep projects moving. You communicate well with staff, contractors and customers, build positive working relationships, and can make sound decisions in a fastpaced environment.

Most importantly, you are a hands-on leader who takes ownership of outcomes, leads by example and isn't afraid to roll up your sleeves to help deliver successful projects for the community.

At Council, we believe in looking out for each other and the community we serve. Whether you're out in the field or helping customers face-to-face, our values—wellbeing, inclusion, commitment, and transparency— guide everything we do.

We’re looking for people who bring a positive attitude, take pride in their work, and support their teammates to do the same.

If you care about doing a good job and making a real difference every day, we’d love to have you on the team.
