About the Role

We currently have vacancy in our Infrastructure Operations team for an Senior Traffic Engineer. In this role, you will provide leadership and expertise in the areas of traffic engineering and design to enhance Council's service provision to the community and overall experience by communicating and promoting Council's policies.

The successful applicant will need to demonstrate their competency for the position by meeting the following essential criteria:

  • Degree in relevant discipline or extensive relevant experience in Traffic Engineering with a minimum 5 years’ experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve complex traffic and transport related problems, negotiate viable options with stakeholders and implement preferred solutions.
  • Proven ability to prepare technically concise reports, letters and e-mails on various operational traffic related issues.
  • Understanding of Local Government legislation, the NSW Roads Act 1993 and the Australian Road Rules.
  • Class C Drivers Licence
