Rural Lands Protection Officer – Trainee

Boulia Shire Council has a new opportunity for a Trainee role within the Rural Lands Protection & Local Laws Department. This role will support the RLPO in the provision of all functions of this role while undertaking formal training to obtain qualifications & certifications. A genuine desire to work in the rural industries field as well as undertake training is necessary.

Key Competencies:

-Rural Lands Protection – Weeds/Stock control/Pest Management 

-Animal Control – Inspections/Patrols/Animal Behaviour/Impoundments 

-Parks & Gardens – Chemical control of weeds/small landscaping projects 

-Physical Demands – Physical stamina to undertake role

-The Person – Work ethic/time management/WHSA
