The Role As a Quarry Maintenance Supervisor at our Red Hill Quarry, you will oversee the maintenance tasks related to daily mining & crushing operations to ensure the efficient and safe production of aggregates. You will manage a team, monitor maintenance processes, and drive continuous improvement to meet business goals.
Reporting to the Quarry Manager, this role will be multi-faceted and be responsible for supervising quarry operations with a focus on maintenance enhancement and improvement.
In your new role, you will: Supervise and coordinate quarry production activities, ensuring targets are met Enforce health, safety, and environmental regulations across the site Lead, train, and motivate quarry staff to maximise efficiency and teamwork Work closely with the Site Production Supervisor to monitor equipment and coordinate maintenance, minimizing downtime Maintain accurate production records and report on performance metrics Identify opportunities to improve productivity, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability Ensure compliance with company policies and government regulations Bring a strong safety mindset and manage high risk activities and reduce risk exposure for self and others About you: Experience in quarrying, mining, or a related industry (supervisory experience preferred) Have coached and developed your team with a focus on maintenance enhancement and improvement Have a strong working knowledge of crushing plants and heavy mobile equipment Are results focused, self-motivated and have a total commitment to risk management and Zero Harm Have a passion for delivering remarkable customer service and great results Are a team player who can multi-task and make quick effective decisions under pressure Possess a continuous improvement mindset Maintain a positive presence in building strong and effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders Are a natural problem solver and enjoy planning Full Australian work rights Our Benefits At Heidelberg Materials, we understand that your well-being and professional growth are essential.
