Permanent Part-time Opportunity - 30 hours a week
Salary Ranging from $46.17 - $53.66 per hour + 11.5% Superannuation (Depending on Experience & Qualifications)

The Opportunity

This position assists with the acquisition, disposal and leasing of Council’s assets/properties and assist to develop and implement strategies to ensure the effective management of the asset and/or property portfolio. This role will also be actively involved in co-ordinating and supporting on some major projects related to the acquisition, disposal and or leasing of Council’s assets/properties.

Essential Criteria

  1. Demonstrated experience in property management including negotiating complex and sensitive property related matters including an understanding of relevant legislative provisions relative to property including leasing of land, land acquisition, compulsory acquisition, purchase and disposal of property, Crown land management and Native Title assessment.
  2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  3. Effective customer-focussed problem-solving capability and well-developed critical thinking skills.
  4. Experience in project management / excellent organisation skills.
  5. Solid computer skills - minimum of intermediate level of skill in use of Microsoft Word, Excel and working with databases.
  6. Hold a current Drivers Licence (Class C)
