The progressive Shire of East Pilbara, the largest local Government Authority in Western Australia, servicing the town sites of Newman, Marble Bar, Nullagine and local communities, is offering an exciting opportunity to join our team.

Join the journey to creating the incredible as our Newman Visitor Centre Officer. This position requires Saturday work and offers a flexible working arrangement around childcare or school.

Do you have?

• Demonstrated experience in customer service.
• Proficiency in using computer systems and software, including online booking platforms, electronic payment processing, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Sound cash handling skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work outside of regular business hours, including rostered weekends, and may include early mornings or evenings as required.

To be successful in this role, you will have knowledge of the local tourism industry, attractions, and cultural heritage of the East Pilbara region. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills both verbally and written, with the ability to engage with diverse visitors and stakeholders. You will have strong organisational and time management skills with attention to detail..
