As part of the Parks Services team, you will provide environmental, tree management and bushfire mitigation technical planning, advice and support to the Parks Services team and other City departments.

To be considered for this role, you must address the following selection criteria as part of your online application:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of environmental and conservation practices
  • Comprehensive written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to prioritise and manage own daily work activities
  • Sound time management and organisational skills
  • Comprehensive computer skills and literacy
  • Sound knowledge of tree and plant species identification
  • Extensive experience in environmental technical works
  • Extensive experience in undertaking objective research, critical analysis and report writing
  • Sound understanding of urban forestry and greening outcomes
  • Sound experience in administration and general oversight of contracts of a technical nature
  • Diploma in Conservation and Land Management or tertiary qualification deemed relevant
  • Current ‘C’ class driver’s licence

We are offering a gross salary of $82,627 per annum (pro rata), and:  

  • 11.5% superannuation with the option to co-contribute up to a further 5%
