About our opportunity
As a Multi Skilled Plant Operator, your primarily responsibility will be to operate a variety of machinary on a daily basis, with a focus on backhoe operation. You'll also work interchangeably with other on-site equipment, including excavators and rollers, to perform civil construction duties. This position is part of Council's internal Construction team, primarily involved in stormwater and road related projects.

About you
Ideally you'll have recent, relevant experience in a similar position operating a backhoe and other comparable machinary in similar settings. Your application will demonstrate previous experience operating a range of medium plant equipment used in civil construction or maintenance activities, with a particular emphasis on backhoe operation.
You will bring your excellent communication skills, ability to work as part of a team and your experience undertaking manual operational tasks in a safety conscious environment. Safety is also a key priority for us as an organisation, and we will be seeking candidates who not only have the knowledge and physical ability to safely undertake the manual tasks required in this role, we want you to have a genuine desire to contribute to a positive safety culture.
Paired with the above mentioned skills and experience, you will also hold a current truck licence (minimum HR - heavy rigid class), a Construction Induction Card and Certification in the operation in Backhoe (LB) and at least another one of the below listed equipment:
