Permanent Full-Time (38 hours per week) – 9 day fortnight
The role:
Council is currently seeking to build to our existing team of experienced and dedicated Medium Plant Operators, to work within our Scone Works Delivery crew.
The role will be responsible for the operation of plant and machinery and undertake general labouring duties as directed for construction and maintenance works, ensuring all works are carried out in a safe, timely, efficient and effective manner.
Our Medium Plant Operator will have the opportunity to operate a range of different plant including but not limited to:
- Skidsteer
- Bogie Truck
- 15T Truck & dog & trailer
- Loader
- Street Sweeper
- Tractor & implements
- Roller
- Backhoe
- Small Excavator <7T
What’s on offer:
-$1102.80 - to $1235.10 per 38 hour week + 11.5% super + weekly operational staff allowance + potential overtime and the opportunity for salary progression
-Christmas break shut down and no mandatory public holiday work
-A true 38 hour working week, Monday – Friday working week with the opportunity to access overtime if desired
-9 day fortnight (that means every second weekend is a long weekend!)

What we need from you:
Ideally you will have one or more relevant licences and/or sufficient experience demonstrating competency to obtain a certificate of competency. You will also hold a Construction Induction (White Card) and have proven experience to operate, maintain and service medium and small plant and a high standard. It is desirable that you will also hold Traffic Controller and Implement Traffic Control Plans Certification or willingness to obtain.
