Essential Role, Essential Services: Become a General Hand in Armidale
We want individuals who have the drive and interest to work as part of a team.
We can provide the training and tools for the right people. This is a great role to get a foot in the door at Council, ideal if you are a school leaver or someone looking for their next challenge. As a part of your new role, we will support you in completing a Certificate III in Water Industry Operations, as well as other training opportunities including a variety of plant.
This position works with a great crew, making sure we have essential water and wastewater services across the region. No two days are the same - you get the chance to not only carry out general labouring work (getting your hands dirty) but also get to work on some plant including diggers, excavators, back hoes, skid steer loaders as well as a jet vac (a huge, truck mounted vacuum).
As a bonus, working at Council you also get the benefit of a 9-day fortnight, flexible working provisions and the opportunity for overtime.
About you
Council is focused on developing a strong culture by embedding values of wellbeing, inclusion, commitment
and transparency into everything we do. This is at the heart of how we work. The right person for the job is
able to live these values, call out others where they aren't, and 'walk the talk'.
We want to hear about you! So in your application, tell us about...
Please note:
We want you to enjoy working at Armidale Regional Council as much as we do, so here’s what’s included:
Are you ready to be part of reviving the region and join the Waste team?
