Facilities Officer

We are seeking a driven and adaptable Facilities Officer with a strong work ethic and the ability to manage changing priorities in a dynamic environment. Reporting to the Principal Facilities Operations, you will support the effective management of Council’s building and facility assets, delivering projects and programs across asset management, procurement, contracts and service planning. You will bring a practical and strategic approach to improving how Council’s facilities and assets are managed and maintained.

About the Role

·        Develop and manage building asset and maintenance plans

·        Coordinate capital and operational works programs

·        Support Council aerodrome compliance and operations

·        Develop and review facility service levels

·        Identify cost savings and revenue opportunities

·        Manage facility contracts and agreements

·        Coordinate inspections, maintenance, renewals and upgrades

Skills & Experience

·        Diploma qualification in Asset Management, Facilities Management, Business Management or similar, or 5 years’ relevant professional experience

·        Demonstrated experience in strategic facilities and building asset management

·        Experience developing and delivering asset plans, programs and projects

·        Strong project, procurement and budget management experience

·        Experience managing facility services, operational contracts and contractors

·        Knowledge of relevant legislation, local government requirements and contract management

·        CASA Aerodrome Reporting Officer/Works Safety Officer certification

·        Current Queensland C Class Driver Licence and White Card
