Step into the role of Development Planner, delivering planning and building services with a commitment to quality.
As a Development Planner in our dynamic Planning & Activation team, you'll ensure that development aligns with our strategic priorities and governing legislation. You'll provide high-quality statutory planning, building
assessment, and/or environmental health services, all while delivering exceptional customer service. Your responsibilities will include conducting development assessments, preparing reports, and representing the Council when needed. You'll also review major project applications and offer advice on building and planning matters.
Additionally, you'll offer timely, comprehensive advice on building and planning matters to both internal and external customers, aiming to determine development applications promptly. The role requires familiarity with local government planning, building, and compliance legislation, and the ability to find further details when needed. You'll also provide information, direction, and support to other Council staff, develop communication materials on planning and building services, and establish systems to monitor and report on customer experience to drive improvements.

With a strong commitment to urban planning and development, you bring a wealth of knowledge in local government planning, building, and compliance legislation. Your excellent communication skills enable you to provide clear, compassionate advice to both internal and external customers. You are dedicated to delivering high-quality customer service and can handle multiple tasks efficiently.
