Victoria Daly Regional Council is looking for a full-time Council Operations Manager based in Pine Creek, NT.
As part of the operations team the Council Operations Manager will be responsible for Local Government services, operations, and employees in the Pine Creek Ward. Priorities include Administration, Parks & Gardens, Waste Management and assisting program managers in the day-to-day management of Aged Care, NDIS, Night Patrol and Sport & Recreation.

As the Victoria Daly region has a large Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander population, you will need to ensure cultural sensitivity and awareness across all activities.
To qualify, candidates will need proven knowledge and experience in management and administration. While Management qualifications or experience is required, experience in these fields will also be considered.
Additionally, you will join with the following skills and background:
Demonstrated high level skills and experience in delivering Local Government services in a remote and isolated Indigenous environment.
Demonstrated ability to lead, manage and develop staff from a range of skill, skill levels and diverse cultural backgrounds.
Proven high level skills in oral and written communication.
Ability to develop, manage, implement, and communicate Council services and community projects.
Strategic and decision-making skills with an analytical and innovative approach to problem solving.
Understanding of business and financial planning principles and practices.
Sound knowledge of the principles of Work Health & Safety.
As the ideal candidate, possessing excellent interpersonal communication skills, the ability to multitask and negotiate, and a professional approach to problem-solving are key.
