Help keep our community spaces clean, safe and welcoming every day. As a Cleaner with Central Coast Council, you will play a practical, hands-on role in maintaining public amenities across the Coast and helping us Rewrite the Future for our community.

• Permanent full-time role with access to a 9-day fortnight.
• Tool of Trade Vehicle is assigned to this position.
 

About the role
As a Cleaner, you will be responsible for the detailed cleaning of Council’s public amenities within an assigned area, ensuring facilities are maintained to the required quality and frequency. You will also carry out minor building repairs, paint out limited
graffiti vandalism, report works requiring attention and recommend ways to improve productivity and service quality.
 

To be successful in this role, you will have:
• Current Class C Driver’s Licence.
• Valid Construction General Induction Card — NSW WorkCover or equivalent, or willingness to obtain.
• Demonstrated relevant experience in cleaning public amenities.
• Experience communicating effectively, both verbally and in writing, with staff and members of the public.
• Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team.
• A flexible and practical approach, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Commitment to safe work practices, quality customer service and supporting positive community outcomes.
 

Offer Details
The commencing salary for this position is up to $66,062. Central Coast Council also provides progression opportunities for employees to progress up to the maximum salary of $76,543 on completion of assessment of skills and performance plus 12% superannuation + $20.29 per week working allowance.
• Permanent full-time role rostered Monday to Friday between 4:00am and 2:00pm, with opportunities for weekend work and penalty rates
• This role will be able to access a 9 day fortnight
• This role is required to work across Central Coast Council facilities
