About the Role:

Under the direction of the Sportsfields & Parks Assets Coordinator undertake duties by completing routine inspections of playgrounds, sportsfields and park assets for the purpose of fault and hazard identification and maintenance program development.

Skills, experience and certificates:

  • Demonstrated experience in the areas of Sportsfield maintenance, Playground maintenance and general park asset maintenance.
  • Demonstrated understanding of sporting facility guidelines for sports such as but not limited to AFL, Soccer, Cricket and Rugby.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the content and application of the Australian Playground Standards.
  • Good knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety Standards and procedures relating to open space.
  • Ability to discuss and resolve problems and gain cooperation and assistance from employees and member of the community.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage own work in a timely manner.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in the use of a wide range of computer applications.
  • Highly organized with an ability to manage multiple tasks.

Mandatory Pre-employment screenings:

  • Current Driver's Licence
  • Playground Inspection Course Qualification (desirable)
    Police check
  • Functional Capacity Check
